SOONER UNITS 1 & 2 MUSKOGEE UNITS 4 & 5

All four (4) OG&E Units are 572 MW, Combustion Engineering (CE) designed pulverized coal fired boilers. They are subcritical, controlled circulation radiant reheat steam generators with twenty-four (24) coal burners arranged in a tangentially fired, four (4) corner furnace configuration. The tilting tangential firing system consists of four (4) windboxes housing six (6) elevations of coal nozzles. BHI FW provided new low NOx T-fired burners and Separated Overfire Air (SOFA) and all associated ductwork and steel/platform modifications for all four units. These units have been successfully operating, meeting emission and unit performance for five plus years.
The unit fires low sulfur Powder River Basin (PRB) coal.
